PREMIER LEAGUE DUO AGREES PERSONAL TERMS WITH TOTTENHAM ,HIS WAGE HAS STUNNED FANS

Tottenham are ready to battle Crystal Palace and Brentford for the services of Sunderland sensation Jobe Bellingham.

The teenage sensation came up the ranks at Birmingham before joining Sunderland last summer in a deal worth just £3 million. He had an exceptional debut season for the Championship club and on the back of it, multiple Premier League sides want to sign him.

According to Alan Nixon, Tottenham are keen on signing Bellingham but will face stiff competition from Brentford and Crystal Palace.

The Birmingham graduate was involved in 47 matches last season and contributed towards 8 goals (7 goals, 1 assist). His performances have put him on the radar of Palace and Brentford who have been closely monitoring him but Spurs are the ones who could put forward the most intriguing proposal for the 18-year-old starlet.
The North London club are looking to reinforce their midfield with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso expected to be on the move. They need to add more quality to the centre of the park and believe signing Bellingham could be a great move given his versatility. Manager Ange Postecoglou is an admirer of the teenager and people at the club feel he could be a great addition for the long run.

He is likely to be a squad player in the initial years and Bellingham could provide cover to James Maddison. Given his potential, he could soon establish himself as a starter. They have identified him as a primary target and with Sunderland looking for a fee of more than £20 million, it will be interesting to see if Spurs end up meeting their demands.

The summer transfer window looks to be particularly spectacular this summer due to the Euros 2024 competition having the effect of consuming a few weeks in which one might ordinarily expect deals to have been getting underway. The question of player focus is not just about the personnel that clubs would be interested in acquiring, it’s also about all the other moving parts that surround adjusting the shape of Premier League squads.

Betiton Sports provides fans with an excellent overview of choice and value when weighing up individual games and moves in all markets. Numerous sources have claimed that Tottenham are expected to crack on with a move for Crystal Palace’s 25-year-old Eberechi Eze when he returns from the Euros. One potential stumbling block with obtaining the player player is that he is said to have a release clause of £60m in his Eagles contract.

Is Eze a player that Spurs need? The answer to that question is almost certainly yes. He is not just versatile, but he is also in attacking positions but is also a very snappy, inventive player who is willing to make game-changing moves that can upset midfielders and defenders alike. If one were to pick a single adjective for Eberechi, it might well be ‘disruptive’.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has been positively cooing over the Palace stars’ contribution to England’s Euro 2024,
“Eberechi Eze just glides past players and looks like the X-factor. At tournaments, you always get a player who comes out of the blue and becomes a superstar. We’ve seen it at World Cups and Euros over the years. For me, Eze could be that player.”
High praise indeed for the man that last season, he was involved in 31 games across competitions and ended up contributing towards 17 goals (11 goals, 6 assists). While the majority of his appearance came as a number ten, he can feature on the flanks as well. It looks to all depend upon triggering the £60 million release clause in his contract with the Selhurst Park side.

Elsewhere, Ange Postecoglou must have high expectations of business kicking on once the international games have drawn to a close, as the big Aussie clearly had high expectations of marking his mark in this window, with ESPN reporting that Postecoglou was realistic about the scale of change he can achieve in one window but Tottenham have a degree of headroom within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. Tottenham’s new coach was said to be targeting a new striker and a central midfielder among the potential new additions.
