TOTTENHAM SENIOR PLAYER ANNOUNCES SHOCK DECISION – POSTECOGLOU ON A VERGE OF LOSING ANOTHER STAR TO ‘A C MILAN’ JUST FOR £87M

European giants willing to offer World Cup winner in sensational exchange deal for Spurs star

Tottenham could be offered the chance to sign a World Cup winner in a ‘sensational’ player-plus-cash deal for Guglielmo Vicario.

Recent reports have linked the Italian shot-stopper with a move to Italy, with Inter Milan reportedly interested in signing Vicario. The Serie A club is said to be prepared to pay £87million for his services.

According to the latest from Inter Live, Inter’s managing director, Giuseppe Marotta, is considering using Benjamin Pavard in a stunning exchange deal to secure Vicario.

The report states that Inter view Vicario as a long-term solution for their goalkeeping position.

Additionally, Tottenham are said to be fans of Pavard, and including him in the deal could tempt them to consider the offer. Talks are expected to commence in the ‘next few weeks,’ potentially leading to a transfer in the summer.

Former Spurs scout Bryan King recently dismissed the idea of Spurs selling Vicario at this moment, claiming that the recent reports are the work of his agent, aimed at securing a new contract at Tottenham. Vicario joined the North London outfit only last season, and his current contract does not expire until 2028.

However, the inclusion of Pavard could indeed turn Tottenham’s heads, considering the experience, quality, and versatility he would bring to Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The Frenchman has established himself as one of the top defenders in European football, rising to prominence during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he played a crucial role in France’s triumph, notably scoring a stunning goal against Argentina in the knockout stages.

Ange Postecoglou accused of doing something at Tottenham that will annoy James Maddison

James Maddison looked back to his best at the weekend for Tottenham against Brentford.

The midfielder absolutely ran the show against the Bees, and it looks as though the England international is back to his best.

Maddison, at his best, can be one of Tottenham’s most influential players, but, this season, the midfielder has blown hot and cold.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Don Hutchison has been discussing Maddison’s situation, and he’s noticed something that may be frustrating the Spurs star.

Indeed, the pundit says that he thinks Maddison must be getting frustrated by the fact he keeps getting substituted towards the end of games.

James Maddison could be frustrated

Hutchison shared his verdict on Maddison’s situation.

“What I’ve noticed as well, which must be really frustrating for him, in the last 15 minutes of games that Tottenham play he gets taken off. I can never understand when you’re trailing in a game you take one of your most creative players off,” Hutchison said.

“He’s the one who has the magic, he’s one of those players where you need to feed him otherwise he can be anonymous in a game. He won’t go box to box and cover ground.

Ange Postecoglou knows best

Hutchison questions Ange Postecoglou’s decision to consistently substitute James Maddison late in games, but the manager knows what he’s doing.

Yes, Maddison is one of Spurs’ most creative players, but that creativity isn’t of any use if Maddison is exhausted towards the end of these matches.

Don’t forget, Ange Postecoglou’s style of play is incredibly intense, so a 75-minute shift in this team is very difficult.

Maddison will know his role and he’ll know the reasons why he’s being taken off, and while it may be slightly frustrating, every decision Ange Postecoglou makes is for the best for the team.

Postecoglou knows what he’s doing with his players and managing their minutes.
