Lutsharel Geertruida could be set for Slot reunion
On Wednesday, Algemeen Dagblad reported that Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs who had set their sights on the 23-year-old.
The report explained that the Dutchman would be allowed to leave De Kuip this summer since he has just a year left on his contract and that the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle United and West Ham United had been alerted to his availability.

CaughtOffside have now also backed up the interest of both Spurs and the Reds in Geertruida, revealing that Ange Posetecolgou’s men see the Feyenoord star as a replacement for Emerson Royal, who is expected to leave.
It is explained that Slot, who has taken over at Liverpool from Jurgen Klopp, has told the Merseyside club’s hierarchy to secure the 23-year-old right-back’s services.
The report claims that Liverpool are now ready to make their move for the defender and that Slot’s relationship with the player means that they are now ‘in the box seat’ to land him.
The publication adds that Geertruida is keen to test himself in the Premier League and that Feyenoord value him at around €20m-€25m (£17m-£21.2m).
Spurs Web Opinion
In positions where Spurs are looking for backups rather than regular starters, such as the centre-back and left-back, it would make sense for the North London club to prioritise English players, given their homegrown numbers.
Kyle Walker-Peters is the obvious option that comes to mind while Leeds’ Archie Gray might also be an appealing alternative for Tottenham.
