Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season and he has turned down multiple offers of a new contract
The development will certainly come as a major boost for Tottenham, who will feel that they have a good chance of signing the player on a free transfer at the end of the season. Kelly is now eligible to secure pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs and the likes of AC Milan and Juventus are already keen on signing the player.
Tottenham submitted a £20 million bid to sign the player at the start of the season and it remains to be seen whether they can convince him to join them on a free transfer in the coming months.
A move to the north London club will be a major step up in the defender’s career and he would get to compete at a high level. Tottenham are well placed to secure Champions League qualification and Kelly will certainly relish the opportunity to compete in Europe with them.
The 25-year-old is well settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact if he joins the club. Kelly is also versatile enough to operate as a central defender as well as a fullback. He could prove to be a major bargain on a free transfer.
