It’s safe to say that 2023 was an incredibly mixed year at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Starting the year off very much in the race for a Champions League place, a poor run of results led to Antonio Conte exiting the club and his assistant Cristian Stellini replacing him at the helm.

The Italian wouldn’t be in position for long, though, as he was sacked in wake of the crushing 6-1 defeat against Newcastle United at the end of April as Ryan Mason took on first-team duties for the remainder of the campaign. Winning only two of their final eight games, Tottenham, in the end, missed out on European football altogether after finishing in a disappointing eighth place.

A summer of change in N17 following the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as head coach and some notable summer additions, the positivity that had evaporated in the first few months of the year soon returned as the Lilywhites made an outstanding start to the campaign. Unbeaten in their first ten Premier League games and playing an eye-catching brand of attacking football under the new boss, Spurs recorded some notable results and came in for plenty of plaudits in the process.

Enduring a bit of a blip late in the year following a host of injuries and suspensions, Tottenham are still in an excellent position to really attack 2024. Making big strides under Postecoglou and with plenty more still to come from this Tottenham team, the future does look incredibly bright in N17.

Spurs need to push through this tough period with the number of unavailable players still in double figures and they can solve that with a smart January transfer window, bringing in that much-needed centre-back as well as a new central midfielder and attacking player before the month ends.
