Breaking news!!! £50m Premier League star forward finally decided to join Tottenham over Aston Villa after…

Rumoured Tottenham target Ivan Toney has said that his future will take care of itself if he keeps performing well for Brentford over the next few months.

Toney has scored three times in four Premier League games since his ban lapsed last month (Transfermarkt), with one of those strikes coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium two weeks ago.

HITC claimed a couple of days ago that Spurs are one of five clubs who are lining up a summer move for the centre-forward, who is expected to be available for £50m-£60m.

The report claimed that Tottenham have been joined in the race for the 27-year-old by Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Chelsea, with the striker now unlikely to extend his current deal at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Ivan Toney can’t force a big move

In fact, Thomas Frank himself admitted to Tipsbladet last week that it was “relatively obvious” that the England international would leave Brentford next summer since he will only have a year left on his contract.

When asked about his manager’s comments, Toney joked on BBC’s Match of the Day: “I see that as he [Thomas Frank] doesn’t want me. Nah the manager’s said what he’s said.

“Listen, I can’t make clubs come and get me, I’ve just got to keep doing what I do and that’s score goals. Like I said, what will be, will be.”

It is quite clear that Toney plans to make a big move next summer and there will be no shortage of interest in the striker. However, if Richarlison keeps banging in the goals for Spurs, Postecoglou might decide to go for a younger centre-forward to compete with the Brazilian rather than shelling over £50m on the Brentford star.
