Tottenham fans think their club is about to sign another player as private plane tracked

Tottenham plan late attempt to steal important Chelsea starter – a tense final week ahead

Before the window opened, all the talk was about Conor Gallagher and his future, but in the end no concrete bids or even serious interest has ended up materialising.

The battle is not won yet, though. Football Insider are reporting that Tottenham are planning to make late effort to sign the midfielder, hoping to tempt Chelsea’s bean counters with the juicy profits of an immediate sale.

We’re still not convinced. The story might be different if Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu were fit and playing. But with them out and Gallagher playing every week, it’s hard to see the club even attempting to get fans to swallow a Gallagher sale.

We will see what happens in this final week, but as it stands even a serious Tottenham effort looks likely to fall short.
