The Sun’s Tom Barclay has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have turned down an offer from Al-Nassr for Emerson Royal.
After enduring a difficult first year or so at Tottenham, Emerson has managed to turn things around over the last 18 months and has become a fan favourite among the Spurs faithful
The Brazilian has lost the right-back spot to Pedro Porro this season but he has still demonstrated his value to Ange Postecoglou, filling in impressively at centre-back and at left-back in various matches.
Saudi interest in Tottenham’s Emerson Royal
Barclay has now taken to social media to reveal Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr submitted a bid for Emerson but the offer was knocked back by Spurs.
The journalist stated that the 25-year-old is happy to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the time being. However, Barclay added that the Saudi Pro League club are now readying another offer to test the Lilywhites’ resolve to hold on to the right-back.
