This shouldn’t happen please!!!Pedro porro reached a deadlock with Ange postecoglou

Alan Hutton has suggested Tottenham defender Pedro Porro could “fit the bill” for a potential return to Man City under Pep Guardiola due to his swashbuckling attacking style.

The former Spurs and Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 24-year-old “ticks a lot of boxes” for the treble-winners.
Porro, who joined Tottenham on a loan-to-buy deal 12 months ago, has hit his best form since the appointment of Ange Postecoglou in the summer.

As such, the Spain international has been targeted for a sensational potential return to Man City – the club he left without making a single senior appearance in 2022.

Porro has already notched one goal and seven assists in 20 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

He reportedly cost Spurs a total fee of around £44million after his arrival from Sporting CP last year and signed a contract running until June 2028.

When asked if City could pull off a move to bring him back to the Etihad Stadium Hutton told Football Insider: “You never know.

“Porro has taken his time to settle in at Spurs but we’re seeing the best of him now.

“His goal against Burnley was a stunning strike. His free-kicks, his corners – he’s got the ability.

“He ticks a lot of boxes for City. But what would tick the biggest box for Pep is the positions he can take up. He’s shown that he can go inside the pitch, underlapping and overlapping.

“He can go into almost a number ten role, which is almost incredible to think that a full-back can do nowadays.

“Porro would fit the bill for Pep, I’m sure, but it’s one we’re going to have to wait and see on to see if City come in.”
