Talk in progress… I can’t lie I’m happy with Daniel levy decision over my contract Cristian Romero is excited about the news coming out his boss

Cristian Romero believes Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has “made all the correct decisions” and that the club will get closer to winning trophies if they stay on their current path. Following such a frustrating 2022/23 campaign with the Lilywhites missing out on a European spot altogether, Spurs have made big strides under new head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Playing an eye-catching brand of attacking football that has left supporters wanting more, Tottenham are now getting the results on the pitch to put themselves in the running for a Champions League finish. Romero has played a big part in Spurs’ promising start to the campaign after forming a solid partnership with fellow centre-back Micky van de Ven prior to the Dutchman’s injury.

The World Cup winner has outlined the importance of the appointment of Postecoglou as head coach, claiming that “the club needed a coach with the same identity as its history”. Romero has also acknowledged Levy’s pivotal role as Tottenham are now in the “perfect position” as they plot for a successful future
This season has started in the best way possible,” he said in an exclusive interview with SWM. “We are delighted that the club appointed a coach like Ange. It has been hugely important for everyone at the club, especially the young players. The club needed a coach with the same identity as its history.

We have started well, but there is a long way to go. I am optimistic, of course, but it is a competitive league. As a professional, I want to win trophies and compete in the best competitions, but everything depends on our mentality.

“The club has a great atmosphere, and we are definitely getting closer to achieving our goals. If we continue to follow the right steps, things can only improve.”
