We are “congratulating”him onces again,James Maddison and Son Heung-min send unbelievable message to £10k-a-week Tottenham man yesterday immediately he heard the news that comes out of Tottenham

James Maddison and  Son Heung-min said he’s congratulating his team mate as he is nominated in PL player of the month for the first time

Son Heung-min and James Maddison have reacted on their respective Instagram stories to the news that their Tottenham Hotspur teammate, Cristian Romero, has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month for October.

Sitting top of the Premier League. Still unbeaten. Racking up the points and the clean sheets, it’s no surprise to see Tottenham players and their manager, Ange Postecoglou, recognised in such a fashion.

Six players have been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month for October – Cristian Romero is on the list, alongside Aston Villa’s all-action midfielder Douglas Luiz, Brentford hitman Bryan Mbeumo, Wolves trickster Pedro Neto, Arsenal’s £100 million man Declan Rice and the ever-consistent Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

It’s a deserved nomination for a defender who is now starting to showcase his true colours at Tottenham after a few iffy spells last season.

In October, Ange Postecoglou’s side kept two clean sheets and picked up three wins out of three to maintain their fine start to the campaign.

But when the news of Cristian Romero being nominated for the Player of the Month broke, both James Maddison and Son Heung-minwrote the following on their Instagram stories.

Cristian Romero praise

James Maddison wrote on his IG story: “Top player.”, whilst Son Heung-min added: “What a player.” Added with a heart and brick wall emoji.

Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero

The duo could argue that they have been the best in the league so far this season as they are starting to form quite the partnership at the back.

Spurs fans were crying out for centre-backs to be brought in this summer and they have found a gem in Micky van de Ven.

The rising Dutchman has been told that he is quicker than Mohamed Salah, which helps him when the team is pushing forward and leaving so much space in behind.

That front-foot nature is risky football, but it’s risky football the fans are loving and their newly-formed backline is enjoying playing in.
