“Unbelievable”Here is the caused of his severe injury, there’s no replacement yet

Tottenham forward Manor Solomon is facing a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his right knee.

Spurs announced in a brief statement on their official website that the 24-year-old suffered a meniscus injury in training earlier this week and went under the knife on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Israel international joined Spurs in the summer from Shakhtar Donetsk, having impressed while on loan at Fulham last season.

He has made six appearances for Spurs in this campaign, most recently as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s dramatic 2-1 Premier League win over Liverpool.

But he now joins an extensive injury list, with Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Giovani Lo Celso and Solomon’s fellow summer signing Brennan Johnson all on the treatment table.

“We can confirm that Manor Solomon suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training this week,” Spurs’ statement said.

“The forward has undergone surgery today (Thursday) and will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately.”

However, it was revealed on Wednesday that Solomon will spend time on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in training.

Tottenham confirmed those reports in a statement released on Thursday evening, while also revealing that the player has undergone surgery.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will hope to have Solomon available for an away meeting with Premier League champions Manchester City on December 2.

News of Solomon’s injury will certainly come as a blow, with Postecoglou already without three wide options in Ivan Perisic, Brennan Johnson and Bryan Gil.

They are joined in the treatment room by Alfie Whiteman, Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancurand Giovani Lo Celso.

Spurs, who are sitting in second position, will look to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they face newly-promoted Luton Town on Saturday.
