West Ham fans will be well aware the transfer rumour mill is already whirring ahead of the summer.
For now all the focus is on the huge Europa Conference League final on June 7th in Prague.
But just one week later the summer transfer window officially opens for domestic deals and West Ham are already being linked with a host of big moves, in and out.
Much of West Ham’s business will centre around Declan Rice, who is expected to depart for in excess of £100m. But perhaps more so than most Hammers fans realised.

With Rice set to depart for that huge sum, West Ham supporters have been wondering what the summer kitty might be once the funds normally set aside for transfers are added into the mix.
After spending £185m in the last two windows, that raised the prospect of another exciting and busy window.
And it seems that certainly will be the case – but maybe not as many had envisaged.

Because a reporter close to David Sullivan has made an astonishing double West Ham summer transfer war chest claim.
Hugh Southon of Claret and Hugh claims West Ham will have around £200m to spend on signings this summer.
But Southon says a ‘top source at the Hammers’ told him money for transfers ‘will come from the sale of Rice and others’ rather than investment from the owners Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and co or other revenue streams at West Ham.
The key is not what is spent but rather how it is spent
“West Ham could be close to spending much the same as last summer – £200 million – in the transfer window when it opens,” Southon said.
“However, the club will not be digging into financial reserves revealing instead the sale of Declan Rice and others will provide the spending power…
“He (a top club source) told us exclusively: “We’ll spend what we raise from Declan and other sales.”
Regardless of the overall figure or where it comes from the key thing – as we’ve seen so many times in the past at West Ham – is not what is spent but rather how it is spent.
And that explains why the club is currently in the middle of a recruitment drive to bring in a serious, top level director of football.
