In our view, Arsenal’s determination to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan is worrying for Chelsea.

As we mentioned earlier in this piece, Chelsea are interested in the £184,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina.

According to The Daily Mail, Pochettino wants to sign Martinez for Chelsea.

The Argentine manager is reportedly on the verge of becoming the new Chelsea manager.

Yes, Chelsea are a big club, but so are Arsenal, who have challenged for the Premier League title this season and will play in the UEFA Champions League next campaign.

Gabriel Jesus is the number one striker at the Gunners, but Martinez can play in a front-two and is also more prolific.

The chance to play for Arsenal could be very appealing for Martinez, who has helped Inter reach the UEFA Champions League final this season.

The 25-year-old has scored 20 goals and given five assists in 25 Serie A starts, and has scored three goals and provided three assists in 11 UEFA Champions League starts for Inter this campaign.
