Brighton and Hove Albion injury news ahead of this week’s fixture at St James’ Park.
Brighton and Hove Albion forward Julio Enciso is a doubt for Thursday evening’s Premier League visit to Newcastle United (kick-off 8pm).
The 19-year-old, who represents Paraguay alongside Magpies’ winger Miguel Almiron, scored the opener in the Seagulls’ 3-0 win against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
However, his afternoon was cut short inside the final 10 minutes, where Enciso appeared to be some in discomfort as he limped off at the Emirates Stadium.
Although Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi, who celebrated his side’s victory with a knee slide, didn’t appear too concerned, Enciso is likely to be assessed ahead of the trip to St James’ Park.
“No, I think it is nothing important,” said De Zerbi. “I think Enciso can play better but didn’t play in the right position for him.
“We are playing without Solly March, Facundo Buonanotte had a small problem before the game and we had to adapt some players in not really the right position.”
Brighton are already without seven players for the clash against Newcastle, including Solly March (hamstring), Jeremy Sarmiento (metatarsal), Adam Lallana (hamstring) and Jakub Moder (ACL), Adam Webster, Joel Veltman (hamstring), and Tariq Lamptey (knee).
