“Injury Confirmed” it will be a tough game for Tottenham as ange says the attacker is not ready for their game against Luton

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says Brennan Johnson is not ready for their game against Luton and confirmed the Manor Solomon injury blow ahead of their Premier League game against Luton Town.

Johnson missed the Liverpool game due to an injury the manager said was nothing serious but he’s admitted he might not be ready for today while describing the situation with Manor Solomon as not ideal after he suffered a knee injury in training.

Postecoglou told reporters ahead of the Luton game: “Manor Solomon unfortunately during training got a significant injury to his knee, he’ll miss some significant game time over the next few months. That’s disappointing because he was contributing to us already and growing into his role.

“With Ivan Perisic already down, it’s not ideal when you lose a player in that position. Brennan Johnson is close but he’s not quite 100% and with the international break we’re kind of hoping he’ll get that time during that to be available straight after.”

There had been doubts over the availability of captain Son Hueng-min who was withdrawn 20 minutes to the end of the game against Liverpool. But the manager confirmed the South Korean was fine and would be involved.

He added: “Sonny’s fine. He trained the last two days, no problem.”
Tottenham will go top of the Premier League table momentarily if they can win against newly promoted side Luton with Manchester City not in action until Sunday when they take on Arsenal. If results go their way, they might go into the international break at the top of the pile.
