Paul Merson has posted on Twitter that it ‘hurts me to say (it)’, but he appreciated Tottenham Hotspur’s stunning comeback win over Sheffield United on Saturday.
It was Leicester City all over again, but this time, the Tottenham fans got to witness the magic unfold inside their own stadium.
After 97 minutes, it wouldn’t have been a surprise if some fans were walking out, frustrated by Ange Postecoglou’s side not being able to break down a stubborn and ruthless Sheffield United team.
Many would have seen it as, ‘just move on because the season as a whole has started in an amazing fashion’, but then, the fire was ignited, by none other than Richarlison.
Coming off the bench, he scored and assisted both goals in the 98th and 100th minute to send his home supporters utterly jubilant.
It also saw former Arsenal man and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson make an admission on Twitterabout that win.

Tottenham flying
Points on the board, sitting second, entertaining football, goals galore, making the opposition do a ‘Spursy’ and a manager that they love.
Would the real Tottenham please stand up?
After years and years of the fans feeling deflated, the mood around the club has changed, big time!
And Postecoglou, along with a number of his summer signings, have all played a huge part in this all because not many expected such a dramatic change so quickly.
