TOTTENHAM FANS CONVINCED THE CLUB HAS LANDED THEIR NO9′ AFTER WHAT THEY SPOTTED

Tottenham supporters believe that Ange Postecoglou needs to change Mathys Tel’s position moving forward after his first two appearances for the club.

The 19-year-old joined the Premier League outfit during the January transfer window from Bayern Munich on a loan deal for the rest of the season with an option to buy him for £45million.

Tel made his debut against Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-final, and that was followed up by him first start on Sunday (9 February) in the FA Cup against Aston Villa.

Spurs were defeated 2-1 after goals from Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers proved to be too much for Postecoglou’s team to fight back against.

However, Tel did give Tottenham fans a glimmer of positivity as he scored his first goal for the club in the 91st minute of the game.

The France Under-21 international is looking to bolster Postecoglou’s attacking options during the second half of the season

Mathys Tel is a proven and versatile attacker

Tel has traditionally played out wide throughout his career on either the right or left flank, showcasing his versatility.

The teenager has scored 29 goals and provided seven assists throughout the first 106 appearances in his career.

The Munich star has also led the line at times throughout his young career, and Tottenham fans believe he is capable of doing that more often.

Tottenham fans believe Mathys Tel’s role should be changed

Spurs fans have been impressed by what they have seen from the teenager so far, but they believe that there is a clear change that must take place.

Fans believe that it’s “clear as day” that he’s a number nine rather than being a winger as he has been throughout his career.
