ARSENAL TO BREAK THE BANK FOR ALEXANDER ISAK TRANSFER AFTER SPUR DEFEAT – FANS REACT

Arsenal should now break the bank to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak to further their title push, according to fans.

The 25-year-old took his season tally to 13 Premier League goals so far this season after scoring the winner against Tottenham Hotspur today (4 January).

Isak became only the third Newcastle player to score in seven consecutive games, joining Alan Shearer and Joe Willock in the Magpies’ history books.

The Swedish international joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022 for a club record fee of around £63million [Sky Sports].

The striker has scored 48 goals in 88 games in all competitions for Newcastle and he remains under contract at St James’ Park until 2028.

Arsenal want to sign Newcastle star to bolster their title challenge

Arsenal sit second in the table on 39 points, six behind rivals Liverpool who also have a game in hand.

The Gunners have not been at their best this season but after seeing Champions Manchester City and big-spenders Chelsea both falter in recent weeks, they now find themselves as Liverpool’s main challenger for the title.

Arsenal fans are desperate for a new striker, one said that Arsenal will become immediate favourites for every competition they are in, whilst another thinks the plan should be to get Matheus Cunha from Wolves as well as Isak

One supporter insisted the Gunners become “favourites” for every competition if they go “all guns blazing” for the transfer, with another asking why they weren’t already “breaking the bank” for a deal.
