Crystal Palace fans all saying the same thing about Ismaila Sarr, they make one demand
How fans have reacted to Ismaila Sarr display
Ismaila Sarr came on at half-time and had a pretty instant impact, being a substantial improvement on Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Crystal Palace held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw on Saturday in the Premier League.
Oliver Glasner will be thanking man of the match Dean Henderson for the point as his No.1 was the difference maker in this game – without him, it could have ended up a heavy defeat.
For Crystal Palace though, the performance is the latest sub-par outing in the last few weeks and the wait for a first league win continues.
For Glasner, the second half will have given confidence considering the improvements the Eagles showed. It could also tell him where he’s going wrong and if this doesn’t, Crystal Palace fans have already informed him.
Due to this impact, fans have been reacting to the performance on X, demanding he start next week. One fan summed up Sarr’s display, writing: “Sarr making a phenomenal case on why he should be starting for us this game”.Another wrote: “I continue to be really impressed by Sarr whenever he’s brought on, I’d like to see him given a start sooner rather than later.”
Fans were also straight-up praising Sarr, which was much deserved.
Based on Sarr’s second-half display, one fan posted: “I don’t want to be reactionary but Ismaila Sarr is 10x better than Olise”.
A second added: “I see why Dougie has been after Sarr all these years.”
The outing from Sarr was a statement-making display which will undoubtedly have placed him well to start next weekend against Everton.Crystal Palace’s team to face Everton seems obvious
Based on the performances put in during the second-half display, it seems obvious that Glasner must make a select few changes next weekend to face Everton.
Sarr should have been starting already, but after his outing here, it is undeniable and he will start next weekend.
This will cause a chain reaction with Jean-Philippe Mateta dropping out and Eddie Nketiah moving either upfront or continuing on the right.
Daichi Kamada must also be dropped based on that performance, with Jefferson Lerma coming into the starting line-up after his cameo also saw the Eagles improve.
