AC Milan have reached an agreement over a fee with Tottenham Hotspur for Emerson Royal as the clubs push to iron out the details of the deal.
Royal has been patiently waiting for the two clubs to agree on a deal that would see him move to AC Milan.
Tottenham’s initial asking price was €25m but AC Milan’s first offer for the defender was less than that figure.
Negotiations over the last week or so have brought the two clubs closer in terms of the valuation of the Brazilian defender.
According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset (via Tutto Mercato), a broad agreement is now in place between the two clubs for the transfer.
AC Milan have agreed to shell out a fixed fee of €15m with another €3m in add-ons based on his performances.
Tottenham have agreed to the compromise given the player’s willingness to join the Serie A giants.
The two clubs are now ironing out the details of the deal while personal terms are already in place between AC Milan and Royal.
