The talkSPORT pundit made the comments about the £200,000-a-week defender (SalarySport) while discussing the clubs where the England international could potentially move to in the summer transfer window.
Football Transfers reported in May that Tottenham are among the clubs who are keen on signing the 30-year-old in the summer of 2023.
The report claimed that United would be willing to sell the former Leicester City defender for £40 million.

The England international did not get much playing time under United head coach Erik ten Hag this season.
After all, Maguire made just eight starts and only eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils this season.
Tottenham are a big and ambitious club who could do with a quality and experienced defender such as Maguire.
At Spurs, the Englishman is likely to get more playing time than he would at Old Trafford.
