West Ham United have been busy on the transfer front in the past few weeks, making three signings and selling three other players.
The Hammers have brought Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman to the London Stadium, while Said Benrahma, Thilo Kehrer and Nathan Trott have been sold.
Chances are West Ham are only just getting started in their pursuit of new players to ensure new manager Julen Lopetegui can hit the ground running.
Now, a report has emerged regarding the Hammers and a target who has been compared to Xavi, and how the East Londoners could go about signing him.
West Ham eyeing Arthur Melo as Juventus want Konstantinos Mavropanos
The player in question is Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, who has been linked with West Ham, Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton in recent weeks.
It has now reported that Juventus could suggest a swap deal which would see West Ham get Arthur and Konstantinos Mavropanos
Mavropanos was on Juve’s radar last season and the Hammers’ interest in Arthur may present a good opportunity for the Bianconeri to land him, suggested the report.
Juve rate the Brazilian midfielder at 20million (around £17million), which is roughly the same valuation West Ham have given Mavropanos, added Calciomercato.

Arthur has endured a difficult time at Juve since they signed him from Barcelona for around £73million in 2020.
The midfielder was tipped for stardom at Barca as he earned praise from some of their biggest players, including Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
Messi compared Arthur to Xavi, Iniesta called him “exceptional”, and Thomas Vermaelen described him as “incredible”.
Despite his troubles at Juve, Arthur impressed on loan at Fiorentina last term, making 48 appearances and chipping in with four goals and two assists.
As per the above report, the Viola can’t afford his salary – which Juve subsidised last term – and their loss could well be West Ham’s gain this summer.
