Forest have enjoyed a wonderful first half of 2024/25 and occupy third place with 19 games of the campaign now played.The latest result was a 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park when Forest were once again utterly dominant away from the City Ground.
With the games starting to thin out after a busy Christmas period, attention will turn to the transfer market to a certain degree.
Forest are eyeing a striker from the MLS and a number of players will be linked with a move to Trentside in the coming weeks.

According to The Telegraph, the Reds have been offered Brighton striker Evan Ferguson but there are a couple of issues with a potential deal.
Firstly, Forest already have two players on loan from Premier League clubs, with Alex Moreno and James Ward-Prowse joining from Aston Villa and West Ham respectively.
That means that another straight domestic loan wouldn’t be permitted and Forest would have to take Ferguson on loan with an obligation to buy.
Furthermore, Brighton are also unsure what they’d like to do with Ferguson this month and might even choose to keep the striker around.
Ferguson has found things tough at Brighton this season, featuring just 14 times and scoring a single goal across the campaign.
The 20-year-old called a ‘superstar’ by Alan Shearer has started just twice under Fabian Hurzeler and it seems that he’s somewhat surplus at the club.
Ferguson would be perfect for Forest if the price is right
Given that the player boasts bags of potential, it’s unlikely that the Seagulls will consider a cut-price deal this summer.
At 20, the future is very bright for Ferguson and that’s perhaps why the club are only considering loaning him out this month.
Ferguson would be the perfect player to work under the tutelage of Chris Wood, however, with the intention of taking over from him in the years to come.
With Forest pushing hard to secure European football, however, perhaps Evangelos Marinakis will sanction a big-money signing for the right player.
The fact that Ferguson hasn’t played much football shouldn’t deter Forest and since he came through the ranks at Brighton, his potential has been there for all to see.
