“I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT” WEST HAM UNITED STAR LEFT STUNNED AFTER INCIDENT

Tomas Soucek has blasted the decision to award Ukraine a penalty against Czechia on Monday 14 October as the West Ham United star captained his nation.
The penalty was awarded for a handball from Ladislav Krejci in Ukraine’s favour early in the second half as the Czechs grabbed a 1-1 draw in Wroclaw.
The point keeps his side top of their Nations League group heading into the third international break of the season, but Soucek was disappointed not to take the victory.
The midfielder told Ceske Noviny: “I don’t understand it.
“[Krejci] would have to cut his hands. He said on the field that he didn’t play with his hands, I saw it the same way he did. I have to look at it myself. They had the video, so they shouldn’t make mistakes.”
West Ham United ace Tomas Soucek stunned after incident

Soucek led his nation by example on Monday 14 October as is often the case, with Ivan Hasek’s side doing enough to remain top of their Nations League group.
The Czechs were unlucky not to take the win, although the second half proved itself to have been capable of tilting in either direction.

Lukas Cerv’s first international goal opened the scoring in Poland, a momentous occasion for midfield partner Soucek having played alongside him for years. The 29-year-old will now be looking to retain a regular spot in Julen Lopetegui’s side, with increased competition in the likes of Guido Rodriguez with whom to compete.
All focus now shifts back to club duty, with Soucek and his team making the short trip to play out a lively affair with Tottenham Hotspur on October 19.
In other West Ham news, a 16-year-old Hammer has earned national media recognition.
