Fans have been stunned by Cole Palmer’s comment on Morgan Roger Instagram after been left out of nations league squad
Morgan Roger will be disappointed after being left out of Lee Carsley’s latest England squad having suggested he feels as sharp as Erling Haaland.
The Aston Villa attacker hasn’t played a game for the Three Lions since 2023 and was again snubbed for the Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland – 24 hours after staking his claim for a spot in the team.
Despite showing his creativity and class at club level for Aston Villa ,Morgan rogers place in the England set-up has been sporadic.
Making his debut in 2023,one years then passed until his next call-up, which came at the 2022 World Cup. Morgan rogers didn’t make an appearance in Qatar.
He was then selected for the provisional Euro 2024 squad, but was cut from the final group – a decision he said was ‘devastating’.
In total, Maddison has earned only seven England caps in five years, and it appears whatever reason it was that Gareth Southgate didn’t select him has now been passed to his successor.
That’s despite the player and new Three Lions interim boss going quite a way back – having worked together at Coventry City and with the England Under-21s.
Palmer stepped up first and was ice cold with his comment,
Attacker Morgan rogers took to Instagram to share his delight, attaching pictures with the caption, “Togertheness. I wish my country success
Palmer weighed in with a comment that left plenty of people confused when he wrote: ‘WHOS EMMAAAAAAAAA”.
The remark is a reference to a phrase from ITV 2’s reality dating show Love Island – with contestant Nicole Samuels becoming a meme as a result of her response to new bombshell Emma Milton kissing Ciaran Davies, who she is coupled up with.
Morgan replied with the same phrase, writing “who’s EMMMMAAAAR’” alongside a slew of emojis.
One fan spotted Palmer’s comment and wrote: “Can’t believe Cole Palmer watches Love Island”.
It appears as though England’s stars have been enjoying the show while at their five-star Weimarer Land Spa and Golf base in Blankenhain, East Germany.
He said: “Love Island — we’re big on that. The boys love it. Every night, a few of the boys come into my room and we watch it.”
England players will be able to have more viewing parties ahead of a nations league with Greece and Finland
