“HE IS THE WRONG CHOICE.” BRUNO FERNANDES MADE A COMMENT THAT GOT WEST HAM FANS TALKING

Bruno Fernandes has seemingly suggested that West Ham United appointed the wrong man to replace David Moyes.
Julen Lopetegui took over from David Moyes as the new West Ham manager earlier this summer, officially on July 1st.
Big things were expected of the 58-year-old, but the Hammers manager has struggled to implement his ideas at the London Stadium so far.
It was claimed last month that Lopetegui’s job is already under threat, but it has since been clarified that that is in fact not the case.
The Spaniard obviously needs plenty of time before we can properly judge him, but the early signs are that his playing style is not too dissimilar to Moyes’s!

The Hammers fans want our team to play a quick, exciting brand of football, but on the most part it has been a turgid watch for us so far this season.West Ham could have easily gone down another route in the summer when it came to replacing Moyes.
And now Bruno Fernandes has waxed lyrical about one of the names mooted with taking over from the Scot.
Bruno Fernandes suggests West Ham appointed wrong manager

Lopetegui has found it tough going at the London Stadium so far.
The vultures were circling before our 4-1 win over Ipswich Town last weekend, but that victory hasn’t completely alleviated the pressure.
There are still large sections of our fanbase who believe he never should’ve been appointed in the first place.
And now Bruno Fernandes has highlighted how Ruben Amorim should have been the manager who replaced Moyes at the London Stadium.
When speaking to CNN Portugal, Fernandes absolutely raved about Amorim.
He said, “Since Mister Amorim arrived at Sporting, it has been one of the teams to practise better football. They have been consistent, the signings have been right and they are in a very good moment. It’s a very well-prepared team.”
“In relation to Amorim, it shows that at this moment he is prepared. Coaching Sporting and winning championships is not easy, Sporting went 20 years without winning championships and Amorim arrived and has already won two, this shows that the work has been done well.“
“If he could manage to do the same in England, Spain or anywhere else, you will never know until you get there, but I am sure his qualities are there for everyone to see.”

Amorim is an absolute star, and I’m sure he would have made us an exceptional team to watch.

Amorim a better option than Lopetegui?

Ruben Amorim emerged as the number one target for West Ham to replace Moyes back in April, as news broke that he was heading to London to hold talks with David Sullivan.
It was suggested that the 39-year-old’s £17 million release clause would not be a problem for the Hammers owners.
However, Amorim remained with Sporting in the end, and West Ham eventually appointed Lopetegui.
What a shame that was – the 39-year-old is an exceptionally gifted young manager.
He deploys a 3-4-3 system that switches into a 5-2-3 when defending. His likes his team to play a really aggressive high press, and in order to get this to work, his players have to be highly energetic and physically robust.
Just go and watch one or two Sporting matches. It’s like night and day from what Julen Lopetegui is producing at West Ham right now.
Ruben Amorim is the one that got away for the Hammers. And Bruno Fernandes has made it very clear just how highly rated his countryman is at the very highest level.
