“Newcastle United’s Bold Move: Striker Signing Takes Center Stage for January Transfer Window!”

Newcastle United will prioritise a striker ahead of the January transfer window amid the fitness concerns with Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle United will prioritise a deal for a new striker to ease the attacking burden on Anthony Gordon. They do have a backup forward in William Osula. However, the former Sheffield United star is not ready for their level, as Eddie Howe continues to be without key stars Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.

Alexander Isak missed the last few games with a toe injury, while Callum Wilson has yet to feature this season. The latter continues to recover from a back problem, which he suffered in mid-July, which has depleted Eddie Howe’s front options.
Newcastle United did sign William Osula from Sheffield United. But there is a feeling the striker needs to learn their way better before becoming a regular. The former Blades star is not yet ready, and Anthony Gordon has led the line in Isak’s absence.

Howe wants to ease the pressure on Gordon and use him more on the wings whenever possible. Hence, Newcastle United are prioritising a new striker in January, as they are keen to strengthen the position. The club could also look to sell Wilson, although the 32-year-old will only leave after a replacement is signed.
A few names have been mentioned in the media as definitive targets, with Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush being one of those players. There is plenty of competition for the Egyptian, and given the Bundesliga side’s performances this season, it is unlikely he will leave in January.

There’s also Jonathan David, who is a more realistic target given his deal with LOSC Lille expires next summer. Hence, it would be the last opportunity for the Ligue 1 outfit to get some money in exchange for the Canadian, as the Magpies will be in the mix to sign him as a replacement for Wilson.

Overall, more names could emerge as the season progresses, as Newcastle United will want to change how their frontline looks. They will have to get rid of Wilson at all costs, and for that, they would need the striker fit before the January transfer window opens.
