Pundit rips into West Ham goal scorer for “lazy” performance against Ipswich.
West Ham’s 4-1 home win over Ipswich Town was by far their best performance of the season and, therefore, their best performance under Julen Lopetegui.
While the defence was excellent, it’s the attack that really shone, with all 4 of the Hammers’ forwards that started the game scoring a goal. There was clearly a fire in the belly of Mohammed Kudus from his half-time fury against Brentford, Jarrod Bowen from being dropped from the England set up, and Michail Antonio from a desire to prove he’s still able to do a brilliant job for his side.
Unfortunately, despite scoring, Lucas Paqueta lacked that same intensity of his teammates, putting in another lacklustre performance in a whole line of them. In all honesty, he’s not been the same player since the allegations of a breach of betting regulations came to light.
His performance was extremely poor and Tony Gale was constantly pointing this out during his commentary of the game, calling Paqueta “lazy” on a number of occasions.
Sadly, as mentioned, it’s nothing new, but hopefully, now he’s got more of a time frame in mind as to when the hearing is, he will be able to focus on his football. When he’s at his best, he’s unstoppable – our Irons could really do with that right now.
FANS STILL UNHAPPY WITH WEST HAM STAR DESPITE IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE WHY???
