Tottenham Hotspur were one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Ange Postecoglou attempted to overhaul his squad.

One of their most notable departures was Ivan Perisic, whose stint at the club ended on a bit of a sour note after his ACL injury.

Cesc Fabregas’ Como launched a deadline day move to sign Perisic, but the deal didn’t come to fruition, although the reason behind the failed transfer has yet to emerge.

After a rather turbulent spell, things seem to be looking good for the 35-year-old, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that he is now on the verge of signing for PSV Eindhoven.

Further details remain unclear at this stage, but the two parties are in talks to complete what would be a free transfer.

Perisic has been branded as an amazing player by Jamie O’Hara and has enjoyed a fantastic career at the top level.

He has represented some of the biggest clubs in the world like Inter Milan and Bayern Munich and has racked up a staggering 136 caps for Croatia, cementing his status as one of their greatest-ever players.

After a tumultuous spell with injuries, Perisic now has the chance to play UEFA Champions League football with PSV if the deal goes through, which is a fantastic situation to be in at this stage of his career.

It remains to be seen how long he keeps going as he turns 36 next year, so Perisic’s move to the Netherlands could well be his last dance in club football.
