According to journalist Joel Kim, Yang Min-hyuk has won the K League Player of the Month award for July, becoming the first player to do so in his first season in the division.

Yang is seen by many as being a potential future superstar of Korean football, with the winger winning many admirers since breaking into Gangwon FC’s first-team at the start of the 2024 season.
The 18-year-old is continuing to go from strength to strength, having found the back of the net eight times and registered five assists in 25 league games so far (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham saw enough to secure his services last month, subsequently loaning the player back to Gangwon, where he will stay until January.
Spurs fans would have seen glimpses of the teenager’s quality when he came up against the Lilywhites in the pre-season friendly that Ange Postecoglou’s men played against K-League All-Stars earlier this summer.

Yang is continuing to impress in the Korean top-flight, now winning the Player of the Month award for July to go with his Young Player of the Month award.

Yang is extremely talented but I do wonder if Tottenham will decide to loan him out to a different European league in January so that he can get some experience under his belt, especially given the options that Postecoglou now has in the wide areas.
Being behind Son, Johnson, Kulusevski, Werner, Odobert, Moore and co in the pecking order would be tough for the youngster.

Tottenham will have to fork out around £50 million to sign Liverpool defensive target Piero Hincapie.
Hincapie has made quite a name for himself with his consistent performances for Bayer Leverkusen since joining them in the summer of 2021. His work hasn’t gone unnoticed and multiple top clubs want to prise him away from Xabi Alonso’s team.
Liverpool are one of the clubs who have a long-standing interest in him but they could face competition from Tottenham who are also on the lookout for more quality at the back.
According to Diaria Expreso via TEAMtalk, the North London club are big admirers of the 22-year-old centre-back and he could be available for a fee of around £50 million. Hincapie was involved in a total of 43 matches last season and he helped Leverkusen keep 20 clean sheets. He played a huge part in their incredible unbeaten run in the Bundesliga last season and Alonso wants him around at all costs. But, the German club are ready to consider offers in the region of £50 million to let him leave.
The Ecuadorian international is yet to make a decision regarding his future amidst interest from Liverpool and Tottenham. He is expected to sit down with his representatives, evaluate the offers and come up with a decision in the coming days.
The Reds seek defensive reinforcements with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez’s long-term future uncertain. While Spurs are looking at the Leverkusen defender as someone who will provide more competition to others in the squad for a place in the starting XI. Since he is capable enough to feature in the heart of the defence and out wide on the left flank, he could come in handy for Ange Postecoglou’s team.
