West Ham United will sign Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville in a deal worth around £25 million. According to Fabrizio Romano, his medical has been booked for today. West Ham have been working hard in the market for reinforcements this summer, and Summerville is their latest coup. The 22-year-old was in demand after a stunning 2023/24 campaign in which he was named Championship Player of the Year. Despite Leeds’ failure to secure Premier League promotion, Summerville had a standout season, notching 21 goals and ten assists in 49 appearances. His showings drew attention from top-flight heavyweights like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. However, he has opted to join the Hammers, further bolstering an attack boasting Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Luis Guilherme, and Michail Antonio.
The Leeds star becomes West Ham’s fourth summer signing after Max Kilman, Wes Foderingham, and Guilherme. In addition to the Summerville deal, West Ham have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund for German international striker Niclas Fullkrug. The Irons want to sign another striker.
