Tottenham Hotspur could now see one of their summer targets make a decision on where his next club will be over the coming days.
Ange Postecoglou and his players have now touched down in Tokyo for the first leg of their Asian tour this summer.
Despite being over a month into the window and now just weeks away from the new season starting, Tottenham only have one permanent signing through the door.
Archie Gray is the new face around the Lilywhites with Postecoglou and fans waiting patiently for the next to arrive.
One player who they have been tracking this summer is now expected to make his decision very shortly on what team he is going to select as his next adventure.
Tottenham target is now set to decide on his next club
It has been a frustrating window for Spurs fans when it comes to seeing new players signed having made a promising start with the addition of Archie Gray.
One thing which Spurs have done well is getting players out of the door which Postecoglou has not valued as members of the squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Desire Doue is now just days away from choosing which club is going to be his next.
This comes after Bayern Munich has just submitted their latest bid for the French prospect.
It is said the bid from Vincent Kompany’s side is believed to be worth in the region of €50m (£42m) with add-ons.
Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to bid again for the player who has also received interest from the Premier League.
Tottenham are said to be one of those clubs having been informed of the ‘unplayable’ Doue’s valuation by Rennes earlier in the summer.
Tottenham need to act now or lose out on Desire Doue
It really does feel like it is now or never for Spurs if they are going to make a move for the 19-year-old Frenchman.
With Bayern making another move for the player, it is almost entering hijack territory with both Bayern and PSG seemingly well in front of Spurs in the race to sign Doue.
Perhaps the youngster could be tempted by the lure of playing in the Premier League with Tottenham but the other two sides would be able to offer Champions League football.
But it now feels like Postecoglou would need to work his magic with one of his famous phone calls.
