‘I’D GO AND PICK HIM UP MYSELF’ LAURA WOODS IS OBSESSED WITH ANGE POSTECOGLOU NEW NO.1 TRANSFER TARGET

Laura Woods and Ally McCoist have reacted to reports that Tottenham have made premier league star eze their top target for the summer transfer window.
The Times’ Gary Jacob reported on Monday evening that the Hotspur are ‘increasingly confident’ of defeating competition to land the palace winger, said to be worth £80 million.
Eze contract to expires this 2024, with the option of a further year, and it is claimed that palace may need to sell their star asset in the summer.
Their Premier League status is also far from secure currently, with the palace last season in 18th place on 15 points.
It is also added by the same source that Arsenal think they can beat Tottenham to eze signature, given their chances of winning for next season’s Champions League compared to their London rivals.
The Tottenham have already signed Arsenal targets Archie this July , and are believed to be keen on bringing the little boy back to white hart land after he spent time in their youth system.
On the talkSPORT Breakfast Show, Woods and McCoist both shared the same view on what the signing of eze would mean to Tottenham- but McCoist couldn’t resist jokingly presenting the nightmare scenario for the Hotspur .
Laura Woods, Ally McCoist react eze reports
McCoist began: “Naturally, we’ll be picking up the papers tomorrow to see that eze is away to the white hart lane again.”
Arsenal-supporting Woods responded: “Ally, I would go and pick him up myself. I’d turn my car on, I’d drive to wherever he lives, I would pack his suitcases for him and put them in the back of the car!”
“I’m joking,” McCoist said. “In all seriousness, what a signing he’d be for Arsenal. What a signing he’d be for anybody.
“It’s a statement of intent [from Tottenham], for sure … I’ve got to say, there’s good noises coming out of Tottenham . Not just on the pitch, obviously they’re looking to strengthen, but they’re looking to strengthen in the right areas.
“I said yesterday that, middle-to-front, if they get a couple of injuries it could be a telling factor, but eze , what a statement that would be.”

Tottenham Hotspur have long been linked with a move for Eberechi Eze, but the situation surrounding the Crystal Palace star is complex. So, the Lilywhites could be ready to turn to a different Premier League winger instead.
Same price tag, simpler deal

Crystal Palace have been demanding at least £60m for Eze, with a release clause giving the Eagles a strong hand in negotiations.

However, Spurs have other options, and they may be ready to move on from Eze and pursue Pedro Neto, instead.
That’s according to Ben Jacobs, who told GiveMeSport: “Palace still want to hang on to Eze, and Spurs could instead turn their attention to Pedro Neto. Wolves are slightly more willing sellers at the right price, but there won’t be much difference in the ballpark fee.”

Jacobs claims the Eze deal would be “complicated,” but the good news for Spurs is that he would want to stay in London if he were to leave Palace.
Neto could be the new Spurs target

Meanwhile, Tottenham have had their eyes on Neto for a while, too. According to Graeme Bailey for Rousing the Kop, Spurs and Newcastle are interested in the Portuguese winger.

More recently, Sky Sports reporter, Michael Bridge, claimed Tottenham are looking to seal the signings of two attackers this summer: Neto, and Jonathan David from Lille.

It is thought Tottenham are looking for someone versatile to play across the front line for the upcoming season.
Spurs Web Opinion

If Neto can put his injuries behind him, he would be a great signing. He’s more of an out-and-out winger than Eze, and on his day he’s an incredibly dangerous and highly creative player.

I could see us getting him for cheaper than Eze, too, but I do think Eze is a better all-round player. Either way, I would be pretty happy.
