Tottenham second half player ratings vs QPR – Mikey Moore grabs assist as Djed Spence impresses

Ange Postecoglou changed 10 of his Tottenham Hotspur starting XI for the second half of their 2-0 pre-season friendly win at QPR and here are our player ratings.
Spurs were ahead from the first half with Yves Bissouma scoring a beautiful goal not long before half-time. The Mali international embarked on a run, beat his man, played a one-two with Dejan Kulusevski, rounded the keeper and slotted it into the net. Tottenham lost new signing Lucas Bergvall to an injury midway through the half.
For the second half of the game, Kulusevski, who replaced his fellow Swede, was the only player to remain on the pitch as Postecoglou made those 10 changes. As with the first half, the next goal came late in the period. Young Spurs goalkeeper Luca Gunter pushed a header on to the post at one end and then Spurs broke up the other end and Mikey Moore swept a ball across the six yard box for Dane Scarlett to slide home.

Luca Gunter
The young stopper made a superb save in pushing a header on to the post before Spurs’ second goal. 8
Djed Spence
Another bright performance from the right-back, using his pace to get up and down the flank and caused plenty of problems for QPR. Also raced back to make a great block in his own box and had the Spurs fans chanting for him. 8
Emerson Royal
A solid display in the backline and took a painful impact challenge to his leg when he was stood on after a challenge but kept going. 7
Ashley Phillips
Had plenty to deal with as QPR pushed for a goal but on the whole he dealt with what was thrown at him. 7
George Abbott
A busy performance from the versatile 18-year-old at left-back, and he will have done his chances of going on the tour some good. 7
James Maddison
Looked sharp again and played in Lankshear for a change and started the move that led to the second half goal. 7
Alfie Devine
Another really bright display from the 19-year-old in the centre of the park and much of Spurs’ play went through him. 8
Dejan Kulusevski
Carried on from the first half and after grabbing the assist in that period kept working hard in the second. Played a good ball through to Moore for his big chance. 8
Mikey Moore
Another bright showing but had a big chance saved by the keeper as he ran through on to Kulusevski’s pass. The 16-year-old didn’t let it affect him though as he switched to the left late on and hit an excellent low ball with the outside of his right foot across the box for Scarlett to score. 8
Will Lankshear
Another promising cameo and he had a chance when Maddison played him into the box but he took the ball around the keeper too wide and sent his effort into the side netting. 6
Manor Solomon
Another 45 minutes in his legs after 10 months out of action and he showed glimpses of what he can do without ever truly threatening. 6
Subs
Alejo Veliz
Came on for the final 20 minutes or so and worked hard but couldn’t find a way through. 5
Tyrese Hall
Only a short cameo from the midfielder. 5
Dane Scarlett
Grabbed a late goal with a good sliding finish which will have done his confidence the world of good. 7
