Young talented goal scorer is ‘keen’ to join Arsenal after Tottenham held talks with his agent

One Tottenham Hotspur target is now said to be ‘keen’ to join Arsenal this summer.

The two North London clubs had a positive 2023/24 season. The Gunners fared better than they did in the previous campaign and took the Premier League title race to the final day of the season, while Spurs showed a lot of promise in Ange Postecoglou’s debut term too.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both aiming to go to the next level in the upcoming campaign, and they need help from the transfer market to do that.

Postecoglou has warned Daniel Levy that signing a new attacker is vital before the new Premier League season starts in August.

Neto would be a great signing for Tottenham, but there is now a problem – he is keen on a move to Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal.

That’s according to Teamtalk, who reveal that Arsenal would rather sign the Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker over Barcelona’s Raphinha.

The report adds that Neto is ‘keen’ on a move to the Emirates because the Gunners can offer him the chance to play in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham cannot offer that, which is why Arsenal have an edge over their local rivals in the race to sign the Wolves star this summer.

There’s one big worry for Arsenal and Tottenham regarding Neto
Neto is a phenomenal player, there’s no debate there.

The Portuguese attacker is excellent on the ball, can play on either wing, is a brilliant dribbler and has proven that he can score goals and provide assists in the Premier League.

The fact that he is still only 24 years old means he will only get better in the coming years.

However, since April 2021, Neto has missed over 100 games for Wolves due to injuries. He was out for 125 days and was unavailable for 23 fixtures in the 2023/24 season as well.

That injury record makes it a real concern for Arsenal, Tottenham or any other club interested in signing him this summer, especially as he has a price tag of £60 million (GiveMeSport).
