Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer window has largely consisted of offloading some of their unwanted players ahead of the new season.
Of course, Ange Postecoglou has seen the likes of Archie Gray and Timo Werner added to his squad over recent weeks.
However, the majority of the business done has seen Daniel Levy show the unwanted players the door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The only actual sale that has been sanctioned at Tottenham has been Joe Rodon to Leeds United.
But there could be more to follow with Spurs now having received an offer for one of the players on their transfer list.
Tottenham receive offer for Ange Postecoglou outcast
Already this summer, Spurs have been able to offload six players off their books going into the new campaign.
But there is room for more with player sales expected to be pushed over the coming weeks with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon still at the club.
The pursuit to offload more of their squad has now seen a promising development with an offer now landing at Levy’s door.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham have now received their first offer from AC Milan for the services of Emerson Royal.
However, it is an offer which is considerably shy of their €20m (£17m) valuation of the Brazilian right-back.
It is claimed Emerson is a player who Milan have considered a real option for this summer over recent weeks.
And the next 10 days are expected to be crucial to any potential deal being struck between the two clubs.
What Emerson Royal said about AC Milan interest
Emerson may not have been the first choice for Postecoglou, but he did hail the Brazilian as an “unbelievable” trainer.
But this does not look enough to satisfy the right-back’s need to be playing regular football – which has been blocked by Pedro Porro.
The Spurs right-back has already spoken about the reported interest from Milan and it would seem he would be keen on making the move to Italy.
“The truth is that I still don’t have anything defined. Obviously to know that Milan is in conversation with the club [Spurs], they are looking for information on me,” Emerson said.
“For me it is very gratifying because Milan is a team known for having Brazilian players, right. We know there have been some great Brazilians to have played for them. Let’s wait and see what’s going to happen.”
