Ricochet expected to join AEW after his WWE contract expired as per the reports
AEW is currently the second-most successful wrestling promotion and a direct competitor to WWE. Many wrestlers have transitioned to the Jacksonville-based company after leaving WWE. Ricochet is expected to do the same, according to some reports.
According to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select, after his contract expired, sources from both companies knew that he might join AEW. However, at least for now, the plan is not for him to be Will Ospreay ‘s opponent for AEW All-In. Speaking about Ospreay, The Aerial Assassin openly admitted that WWE was misusing him and expressed a desire for him to join its rival company.
Ricochet has had successful runs in promotions like Dragon Gate, NJPW, and Lucha Underground. Despite not being a main-event-caliber superstar, his WWE run also wasn’t bad. He won the NXT North American Title, the Intercontinental Title, the United States Title, and most recently, the Speed Title as well.
