Tottenham Hotspur boss manager Ange Postecoglou will be working hard to prepare his squad for the upcoming season.
His side had started the campaign in sensational form and sat top of the pile after ten games, but ultimately missed out on Champions League qualification and have to settle for a place in next season’s Europa League.
Ahead of the new campaign and with the transfer window now in full swing, it appears that the North London outfit are one of a number of clubs chasing a Championship star.
As per Football Insider, both Tottenham and West Ham United are interested in Hull City star Jaden Philogene.
The 22-year-old is said to have attracted interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Spanish giants Barcelona.
Philogene joined the Tigers from Aston Villa last summer and enjoyed an impressive debut season with the Championship side, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists in 32 games across all competitions.
His impressive displays have alerted other clubs, though, and the report claims that both Spurs and the Hammers are interested in signing him this summer.
Philogene, who is an England Under-21 international, is contracted to Hull until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
The report also mentions the fact that cashing in on the player this summer could be beneficial for Hull, as his value may drop as he nears the expiry of his current deal and is unlikely to sign an extension.
