Tottenham are preparing to terminate Tanguy Ndombele’s contract a year before the official end date.
The French midfielder, whose contract runs until June 2025, will leave the club this summer.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham have been negotiating with Ndombele for some time to reach an agreement on payment and have now reached a mutual agreement.
The Lilywhites have decided to pay Ndombele £5 million to facilitate his early termination of his contract.
The report adds that the club are expected to announce Ndombele’s departure soon.
The move is largely driven by his substantial weekly salary of £200,000, which makes him Tottenham’s highest earner, surpassing even star player Heung-min Son and James Madison.
