Tottenham Hotspur are expected to consider retaining Richarlison’s services this summer amid speculation over his long-term future
The Evening Standard reports that the Lilywhites will listen to offers for Richarlison this summer, although the Brazilian striker is said to be happy at the club
Spurs are not expected to expel him but will consider big offers for the striker, who has appeared on the radar of Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs
The North Londoners are planning an exit this summer and Richarlison could be one of the players to make way for reinforcements
A number of SPL clubs are considering the possibility of leaving and Spurs will be forced to sell if they receive a fee higher than the £60m they paid for the striker in 2022
Emerson Royal, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso are also on the hunt for Tottenham this summer
Emerson is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, but Serie A giants AC Milan could offer him the chance to leave England without moving to the Middle East
Hojbjerg is attracting interest from European clubs and is set to leave Spurs this summer as he approaches the final year of his contract
Richarlison would be a reasonable back-up option Richarlison has barely been able to justify his £60m fee since joining Everton in north London in the summer of 2022
However, he could be a good player for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who are hoping to earn top-four earnings next season
The 27-year-old has scored just 15 goals in 66 games for Spurs, including 11 in the 2023/24 season, suggesting he has finally found his footing in north London
His 11-goal achievement is also the first time he has surpassed the 10-goal mark since scoring 13 goals in the Premier League in consecutive seasons for Everton (2017/18, 2018/19)
He’s certainly not the sharpshooter Spurs need to close the gap on the top four, but he could be a decent option for Postecoglou next season as he can appear anywhere
anywhere on the offensive line
