Thomas Tuchel, Bayern Munich manager, has admitted that Harry Kane is not happy at the club. The England captain, who moved to Bayern for £100 million in August, is said to be frustrated by the lack of service in the team’s recent defeats.
Although he has scored 24 goals in 21 games this season, setting a club record for most goals in a debut season, Kane is feeling the pressure as Bayern struggle in the Bundesliga.
“Harry is looking after himself. He doesn’t need me,” said the former Chelsea boss. “He’s not happy with the bonding at games. Neither are we. I’ve rarely seen such a difference between training and games.
‘The way he scores in training, the way he takes his chances – it’s unbelievable. He is top class. But then you rarely see him in matches. He behaves like a captain. Everything is fine with him.
“It’s a strange situation. The atmosphere is obviously a bit gloomy because we expected a reaction from ourselves,’ he added.
‘Nevertheless, we only lost the first game and we are not out of the Champions League yet. We are all committed to turning things around.
‘ In my experience, this is only possible on the pitch, which is what we did yesterday. We will do our best to gather the energy we need to turn things around.’
