“With less effort” Can’t believe the Tottenham Boy can win PL player of the month

EA Sports FC have revealed that Richarlison has been named as one of six nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month award for January.

No player in the division has had as dramatic a turnaround in form as Richarlison has had over the last couple of months.

The striker was broadly written off and even ridiculed until a little while ago, with Gabby Agbonlahor even telling talkSPORT at the start of January that the 26-year-old would be playing in League Two if he was not Brazilian.

However, Richarlison has made the likes of Agbonlahor and many of his other critics eat their words, with his brace against Everton last Saturday taking his tally to nine goals in his last eight league matches (90 min).

Richarlison nominated for Player of the Month

The Tottenham man has now been nominated for the Player of the Month award alongside Luton’s Elijah Adebayo, Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, and Liverpool duo Conor Bradley and Diogo Jota.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs played just two Premier League games in January due to the winter break, with Richarlison scoring just twice in the month as a result.

I doubt that is going to be enough for him to win the award but just the fact that he has been nominated is a huge achievement, considering the fact that he was broadly written off as a flop by many until December.
