“Tottenham”trends on social media after controversial moment in Brentford game, fans are fuming.

James Maddison hilariously got his revenge on ‘s***house’ Neil Maupay, who earlier trolled his celebration.

Maupay gave Brentford the lead away at Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier Leagueclash on Wednesday night as he bundled in Guglielmo Vicario’s parried save from Ivan Toney’s effort.
The Bees striker ran off to the corner flag to celebrate his 15th minute strike, and brought out a darts celebration usually seen from Maddison and his Spurs team-mates in a p*** boiling move. But Maddison soon got his revenge as the Lilywhites came flying out of the blocks to turn their one goal half-time deficit around to a 3-1 lead just 10 minutes into the second-half.
In the celebrations for Brennan Johnson’s goal and Spurs’ second of the night, Maddison and the Welshman were spotted imitating and laughing at Maupay’s arrow-throwing technique
Fans on social media lapped up Maddison’s revenge, one comment on Twitter read: “This game is pure entertainment”. A second wrote: “Love this”, a third added: “Maupay must be angry right now”, while a fourth said: “Life comes at you fast”.

Maupay spent most of the first-half winding up Spurs’ players, including Maddison, who he had a heated exchange with shortly after mimicking his celebration. But the Frenchman wasn’t laughing at full-time.

Brentford did get a goal back through Toney with over 20 minutes of normal time left to play, but Ange Postecoglou’s side were able to hold onto the three points which sees them climb above Aston Villa and into 4th place. Spurs are now just three points behind Manchester City in second place, who also picked up three points on Wednesday night with a 3-1 win over Burnley. Postecoglou’s side take on Everton next in the early kick-off on Saturday.
