Tottenham ‘ready’ to do last-gasp £50m transfer to finally replace Harry Kane

are reportedly ready to move for striker Dominic Solanke before the January transfer deadline. The 26-year-old has been in sparkling form this season and could do with an extra goal threat to support , having waved off to during the summer
Goals eluded Solanke during a two-year spell at Liverpool and across his first two campaigns at Bournemouth. But after going down to the Championship, the Cherries frontman found confidence that accompanied him back to the top flight.

Things have well and truly fallen into place for the once-capped England star this term, with only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah bettering his 12-goal Premier Leaguehaul. Spurs, who opted against directly replacing Kane in the summer, are among those to have sat up and taken notice.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are ‘ready’ to act on their interest in Solanke and push through a move which could exceed £50million before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
It would take a huge offer for Bournemouth to sell their star striker with no time to find a replacement. But the south coast outfit are reportedly compiling a list of striker targets in France and Belgium in case Spurs leave them with no choice.
The Cherries have so far withstood pressure to part ways with Solanke, fending off interest from West Ham last summer and Newcastle United this month. The forward penned a new deal in September which contractually ties him to the Vitality Stadium until 2027.
