After landing Harry Kane and Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur in successive transfer windows, it has now emerged that Bayern Munich could sign another former Spurs star, Keiran Trippier.
Some Tottenham fans were quite surprised when Bayern pushed ahead with a deal for Dier, given that the centre-back was unable to make Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven this season even when both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were injured.
However, when one takes a step back, one can certainly understand why Thomas Tuchel would have wanted an experienced player like the 29-year-old, who, just a year ago, was arguably one of the most in-form centre-backs in the Premier League in the heart of Antonio Conte’s back three.
Dier’s contract situation also meant that he was a cheap option while his versatility offers Tucehl a lot more options, both at the back and in midfield.

Trippier could join Kane and Dier at Bayern Munich
It now looks like Kane could be reunited with another one of his former Spurs mates, with Trippier emerging as a target for the Bundesliga giants.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has confirmed that the right-back, who spent four years at Tottenham before heading to Atletico Madrid in 2019, has been a topic of discussion at the Bavarian club over recent days.

Spurs Web Opinion
Trippier has shown some signs of decline this season with his age now seemingly catching up to him. However, there is no doubt that the right-back as well as Eric Dier would be decent squad options at the Bundesliga level.
One also cannot discount the Harry Kane factor, with there also being an element of Bayern wanting to go out of their way to make sure that the England captain is happy in Munich.
