I can’t lie I’m sad I can’t face Manchester United tonight… He sent three words message to Tottenham fans After a Disgusting injury and exactly what he said has been revealed

Tottenham Hotspur star Pape Matar Sarr had to be consoled by teammates as he left the pitch in tears after suffering an injury.

On Sunday afternoon, Spurs welcomed Bournemouth to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as they look to keep pace with the top four.

Senegal international Sarr scored the opening goal inside 10 minutes to give Spurs the lead.
However, in the 32nd minute, Sarr’s day turned into a nightmare as he had to be replaced by Oliver Skipp due to injury.

Sarr’s injury has potentially thrown his Africa Cup of Nations participation in doubt.

The tournament is set to begin on 13 January in the Ivory Coast and Sarr was expected to play a part in Senegal’s defence of the title.

Back in 2022, Sarr was an unused substitute as Senegal got the better of Mohamed Salah’s Egypt to clinch the trophy.

Senegal are set to face Gambia on 15 January to kick off their tournament.

The likes of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are all currently nursing injuries whilst midfielder Yves Bissouma is suspended for the match against Bournemouth.

Speaking ahead of the match against the Cherries, Postecoglou said: “It’s difficult. It’s been difficult this whole run.

“We’ve been stretched for a very long time and we’ve just tried to play on through it.”

The Australian continued: “That’s what we’ve done and we’re only in the position we are because of the enormous efforts of the players to do jobs that normally is not in their brief but they do it willingly and they give everything.

“For me that’s all I can ask for.”
