Juventus open to selling Samuel Iling-Junior amid Tottenham Hotspur interest

Well, according to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus in the January transfer window.

The well-known and well-respected reporter has said that Tottenham have received positive reports about Iling-Junior from their scouts, adding that Juventus are keen on selling him as soon as possible. Marseille have also been linked.

Jones wrote: “Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus has been scouted and the club have good reports of what he would bring to the side. Juve are hoping to hear back soon of any firm interest as they want to sell him as soon as possible so that they can reinvest in the squad.”

In December, TuttoJuve reported that Tottenham are willing to pay more than £10 million for former Chelsea prospect Iling-Junior, while The London Evening Standard claimed that Spurs were leading the race for his signature.

My View: Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Samuel Iling-Junior

In my opinion, if Juventus are ready to sell Samuel Iling-Junior in the January transfer window, then a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur could happen.

Iling-Junior is only 20 and is not the finished article yet. Spurs will be aware of that, so the Premier League club are unlikely to be willing to pay over the odds for the England Under-21 international. There is speculation that he will cost £15.5 million.

The winger himself could be tempted to move to Spurs, who are a big and established club based in London and regularly challenge for the Premier League top four. Iling-Junior is a former Chelsea prospect and might feel that he has unfinished business in England.

Iling-Junior, who “has energy” according to Juve head coach Massimiliano Allegri, has made eight substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus this season, providing one assist in the process. Juve head coach
