No doubt he’s back, after severe injury he’s now perfectly fit to face Brighton,it will be wonderful to see him play again

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has reiterated how much better Richarlison has been looking in training and on the pitch for Spurs.

The Tottenham boss, speaking ahead of Thursday night’s Premier League trip to Brighton, said Richarlison is moving around more easily following his surgery.

Richarlison has been in outstanding form for Spurs after coming back from last month’s surgery on a long-term pelvic injury.

Since returning to action and getting back up to speed, the 26-year-old has contributed to Tottenham winning their last three league games.

Richarlison has four goals from those three matches. He bagged a brace against Newcastle and also netted against Nottingham Forest and Everton.

The £90,000-a-week forward (Spotrac) will be hoping for more of the same when Spurs head to the south coast to take on the dangerous Seagulls.

‘He’s a talented player’

Football.london‘s Alasdair Gold asked Postecoglou at his pre-match presser whether Richarlison is playing better because he’s freer from his prior injury.

“Yeah,” began the Spurs boss. “Like I said, I’ve said a few times, they’re human beings and when you don’t feel 100 percent in yourself, whether it’s physically or mentally that’s going to affect your performance.

“Not that everything’s rosy in his life now, I’m sure he’s still got issues in there but especially with the physical side of it, the operation recovery he had you could tell when he came back to training he just a lot better about himself in terms of the way he was moving, the way he was training.

“He was just a lot freer in his movements. I think that’s allowed him to go into games with more confidence, more self belief about his body more than anything else.

“There’s no doubt he’s a talented player. He’s scored plenty of goals in the Premier League. He’s played for his country, but at the same time they’re human beings and there are times when things aren’t right. It affects performance and it affects output.”

Richarlison back on top form for Tottenham Hotspur

It’s so good to see Richarlison back to his best. After all the criticism he received, it just goes to show that you don’t always know what’s going on with a player behind the scenes.

Richarlison has always been a quality player. Going from Brazil to the Premier League and also playing and scoring for the Selecao at the 2022 World Cup is not what bad players do.

It’s great to see him turn a corner, and his upturn in form has coincided with Tottenham also turning a corner after things went pear-shaped during and after the Chelsea game.
