It’s sad,The injury expert claims that the Tottenham New sign issue is more severe than the Uruguayan’s and he may be out of the season

Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder James Maddison will be out longer than Rodrigo Bentancur, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the England international’s issue is more severe than the Uruguayan’s and he has been out for a couple of months already.

Ange Postecoglou said on 22 December that Maddison is nowhere near returning to first-team training after his ankle injury.

Discussing the state of play with Maddison exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

Based on Ange’s comments, sounds like he might be back after Bentancur due to the severity of the injury.

“Like Bentancur – arguably even more so – difficult to give a date or timeline because there haven’t been many updates.

This assessment is, however, based on the respective injuries without taking into consideration how they are responding to rehab.

The 27-year-old joined Spurs in the summer and has hit the ground running at his new club, becoming one of the central figures of Ange’s side.

In 11 league games this season, the attacking midfielder has scored three goals and provided five assists.

In his absence, Spurs have dropped in the table and until recently were on a run of poor results and struggling for creativity in front of goal.

Micky van de Ven, Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur have all been missing for a number of weeks, adding to the injury woes.
